GoodFoodNearYou won first place in the prestigious Andrew Seybold Mobile Innovation Rally and AppWar during the 2009 CTIA Wireless show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"We were thrilled to be a part of the Innovation Rally and AppWar at CTIA Wireless and are honored to receive this award from Andrew Seybold," says Nick Desai, CEO of Global Fitness Media, the company developing GoodFoodNearYou. From numerous contestants, GoodFoodNearYou was first selected as one of six finalists to present at the Innovation Rally and AppWar during the CTIA show. After an audience vote at the CTIA show, GoodFoodNearYou won first place for the most innovative mobile services applications.

The Innovation Rally and AppWar was an event hosted by renowned wireless and mobile analyst Andrew Seybold. Mr. Seybold is highly regarded for his "Commentary" e-newsletter and for the Andrew Seybold Wireless University.

Mr. Seybold says, "GoodFoodNearYou is a worthy winner of our Innovation Rally AppWar event. It's an incredibly simple, free service, which delivers real value to consumers in making healthy, informed restaurant choices. GoodFoodNearYou embodies the important qualities of mobile applications which I frequently talk about - usability, real value, geo-local relevance and personalized content".

GoodFoodNearYou launched in February 2009 for the Apple iPhone, iPod touch, and the BlackBerry Curve, Bold, Storm, and Pearl. This week, the GoodFoodNearYou app for BlackBerry devices became available to download in the BlackBerry App World. The BlackBerry App World was recently unveiled at the 2009 CTIA Wireless show.

"To date GoodFoodNearYou has had over 57,000 unique users and the search has been used in all 50 States, the District of Columbia, and in 3,048 U.S. cities. In response to the strong demand for GoodFoodNearYou we are adding a host of new, interactive features, as well as making the mobile app available on more GPS enabled mobile devices," says Desai.
