The availability of WinCE opens the door to more opportunities
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) April 13, 2010
QSI Corporation, designer and manufacturer of rugged human machine interface (HMI) and mobile data terminals, is pleased to announce Windows® Embedded CE 6.0 is now offered on the graphic handheld QTERM®-G58 and new QTERM®-G56 human machine interface terminals.
Windows Embedded CE 6.0 allows for easy integration and application design. QSI customers can use Microsoft® Visual Studio® and related technologies like Win32, MFC, Visual C#® and Visual Basic® for application development. QSI's proprietary language, Qlarity®, is still available but not required to make an application for the terminal.
"The availability of WinCE opens the door to more opportunities," said Bob Mullins, Product Manager of QSI Corporation. "Customers will now be able to pick the software that works best with their applications."
Both the QTERM-G58 and QTERM-G56 feature rugged ABS housing and a bright 89 mm (3.5") 320 x 240 pixel color transflective sunlight readable LCD touch screen display. The QTERM-G58 is a wireless and battery-powered handheld terminal with optional WiFi. The new low-cost QTERM-G56 offers tethered connectivity for applications that don't require wireless portability.
