With this new school, students in Randal Park will be able to attend three of the newest schools in Orange County.
Orlando, Florida (PRWEB) August 08, 2012
The school will be designed for 830 students and is scheduled to open in August of 2013.
The school board approved the purchase in March and the transaction was completed Tuesday, July 31. Construction of the new school, which has not yet been named, will begin early this fall.
“Although this wasn’t the original plan for this piece of land, we thought it was important to have an elementary school here to serve the families of Randal Park and nearby neighborhoods,” said Dan Green, who leads Wheelock Street Land, the residential developer of Randal Park. “That will enable our kids to attend three of the newest schools in Orange County.”
Kindergarten through fifth-grade students living in Randal Park are assigned to NorthLake Park Community School until the new school opens. Middle school students who live in the community attend Lake Nona Middle School, which opened in 2011, and high school students attend Lake Nona High School, which opened in 2008.
Home sales began this summer at Randal Park. Prices start in the $230s.
