Chambers and Partners, publisher of an annual guide ranking U.S. lawyers and law firms, includes 178 Greenberg Traurig LLP attorneys in its 2011 Chambers USA guide. Chambers and Partners says it selects attorneys for inclusion in its guides based on thousands of interviews with practicing lawyers and with clients around the world. Clients and legal industry peers are quoted in critiques published for select areas of practice and prepared by Chambers and Partners research teams.

In addition to the narrative reviews, attorneys, practice areas and firms are ranked by placement in "bands," with Band 1 being the highest placement. Additionally, attorneys can be designated as a "Senior Statesman," "Star Individual" (which is above a Band 1 ranking), "Up and Comer," and "Associate to Watch." Greenberg Traurig has placements in four of these special categories, including four "Star Individual" placements in the Corporate/M&A & Private Equity, Labor & Employment and Litigation: Appellate practices.
