Three Team Members Promoted in Grey Oaks Country Club's Golf Operation

Grey Oaks Country Club continues to develop their leadership team to be amongst the finest of country clubs with the promotion of three individuals to Director positions.

Grey Oaks Country Club has recently announced a few significant promotions reflecting their commitment to continually develop their leadership team to be amongst the finest of country clubs across the nation. The three Director promotions at Grey Oaks include David Pagel, Rory Mudge and Bob Usher.

David Pagel (Director of Golf Courses) – David is originally from the Sebring, Florida area, but has lived in Southwest Florida now for about 13 years. He has been in the golf course maintenance business for nearly 17 years. David first came to Grey Oaks 10 years ago as the grow-in Superintendent at the Estuary. He has since spent time as Superintendent of the Pine and Palm and most recently the Co-Superintendent of Golf Courses, overseeing all three courses in conjunction with Rory Mudge. David is a Class-A member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and a member of the Florida Turfgrass Association. As Director of Golf Courses, David will continue to concentrate his efforts towards keeping all three golf courses in unparalleled condition.

Rory Mudge (Director of Grounds and Landscaping) – Rory is originally from Cortland, New York and moved to Florida in 1990. He attended Lake City Community College, where he graduated in 1998 with an AS Degree in Golf Course Management. Upon graduating he re-located to Southwest Florida and made his way to Grey Oaks Country Club in February of 2002. Rory started as an Assistant Superintendent and quickly grew into the Superintendent role on the Pine Course at Grey Oaks. He has also worked as Estuary Superintendent and for the last 3 years as Co-Superintendent of Golf Courses alongside David Pagel. As Director of Grounds and Landscaping, Rory’s role will be focused around maintaining the luxurious setting and beauty of Grey Oaks property.

Bob Usher (PGA Director of Instruction) – Bob grew up in Florida and has always been around the golf business. He earned his PGA Membership while working in Atlanta, GA and moved back to Naples, FL in 2008 to join the Grey Oaks family as an Assistant Golf Professional. Bob has developed a great passion for instruction during his role as an Assistant. He recently completed TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Certification, a program combining golf and fitness technology. In his new role as Director of Instruction, Bob will lead the golf instruction staff at Grey Oaks into new and exciting territory.

Each of these gentlemen brings a wealth of experience and proven leadership to their positions at Grey Oaks and to the entire community!
