The product, which was introduced at The PhoCusWright Conference, where GroundLink was selected as one of this year’s travel innovators, is an iPhone application that graphically displays a map with taxi, shuttle and limousine service providers located close to the user’s location, and allows the user to order a car with ONE CLICK anywhere in the world. The application is designed to enable customers to quickly and conveniently find, price, choose and reserve their desired chauffeured service on the GroundLink network, and overcomes the inefficiencies associated with traditional telephone reservations or the “hail-a-cab” process. This functionality builds upon the company’s existing retail website, http://www.limores.com, which currently connects hundreds of thousands of users to more than 15,000 ground travel service providers worldwide. To date, GroundLink has processed over 1,000,000 ground travel transactions.
