Tunbridge Wells, Kent (Vocus/PRWEB) March 15, 2011
Due to the current political unrest in Libya, CT Group Travel has postponed their Libya trade mission, which was due to take place on 05th March 2011.
The trade mission specialist was due to take 20 delegates to Tripoli for 5 days but for obvious safety reasons the company has had to cancel the trip until the situation in Libya dramatically improves.
UNIGLOBE member CT Group Travel has already managed to successfully bring home two clients, both of whom were away on business trips in Libya, just before the troubles started on the 19th February.
The latest advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office is simply – “We advise against all travel to Libya”.
Mark Kempster, CT Group Travel’s Managing Director commented, “The safety of our clients is absolutely paramount and for that reason we have regretfully pulled the mission. It is our hope to be able to run this mission later in the year when the troubles are settled and it is once again safe to travel to the country”.
The event management specialist normally operates a minimum of three trade missions per year to Libya, which typically operate over a 5 or 6 day period with 25 to 30 delegates attending on average. For now all future trade missions to Libya are on hold, and CT Group Travel will continue to monitor the situation. In an effort to keep its clients as up to date as possible the company has published a dedicated page on their website which is continuously updated with the latest developments in Libya.
On a more positive note, CT Group Travel has a full programme of trade mission events arranged for 2011, many of which are to the Middle East and Asia. Not only is CT Group Travel the UK’s largest trade mission organiser, it is also well regarded for organising conferences, providing excellent conference management services in the UK and overseas.
