Beer Universe, Inc. (, a leading online beer community / e-commerce website that revolutionizes the online experience for beer enthusiasts, today announced a new partnership with the Grovetoberfest. The partnership will utilize Beer Universe’s proprietary technology, database, and analytics to deliver an iPhone application to thousands of patrons during the festival slated to take place on October 15, 2011 between 3:00 – 7:00 PM.

Beer enthusiasts will converge at Peacock Park in Coconut Grove for Grovetoberfest. The festival will allow guests to sample unlimited craft beer from around the world, take part in the Kitchen Lab for food/beer pairings, enjoy musical performances, vote for their favorite beer and utilize the free “Safe Ride Home” service should they sample more than they can handle.

Tickets range between $29 pre-purchased, $39 at the gate and $89 for VIP tickets, which offers early admittance, access to the South Miami Fiat VIP Lounge, complimentary food, no lines, a commemorative beer glass and other VIP entitlements.

Patrons will participate in beer sampling by voting for their favorite beers in three categories – Domestic, Import and Wild Card. The Your Vote Counts competition will make it fun for all including the breweries that are eager to be the top craft beer of choice.

Additionally, the festival will showcase The Milam’s Kitchen Lab. Chef Ralph Pagano, notable for his appearances on Iron Chef and Hell’s Kitchen in addition to being executive chef of STK at the Gansevoort on Miami Beach, will host the lab.

Beer Universe is a leading beer social network on the web and our patrons will be thrilled to expand their knowledge through this free application.”

Specifically, the Grovetoberfest application powered by Beer Universe will allow users to view the list of breweries and beers at the festival, rate and take notes on beers, and see additional information about festival events. Patrons will be able to retrieve their ratings through the application as well as online through Beer Universe.
