A guide to Car and Bike track day noise limits
(PRWEB UK) 24 August 2012
Trackdays.co.uk have published a guide to track day noise limits on their blog to answer the many questions relating to the testing and reasoning behind the noise restrictions at Racing Circuits and track day venues around the UK.
Dan Jones, Operations manager and publisher of the blog said “with the noise limit being one of the main limitations to taking part in a motorcycle or car track day there are often many questions being ask from our customers that are booking for the first time. This blog is a light-hearted guide to help customers understand why the noise limits are in place and how they can check their vehicles”
Under guidelines by the MSA most UK Racing Circuits have a 105db static noise limit and a slightly quieter drive-by noise limit which is monitored by the local Council. Any Circuit which is caught breaching these restrictions during a track day could face having the event being stopped or worse, the Circuit being closed down.
