Thailand Breaks World Record in Massage

After Thailand’s recent achievement in breaking a Guinness World Record in massage, Massage School San Diego has released a top 10 list, detailing the best types of massages to try, in hopes of further increasing the exposure of the massage industry.

Earlier this week, several hundred massage therapists in Thailand claimed a world record in massage. In response,, a proponent of healthy living and massage schools in San Diego, has released a top 10 list of the best massages every person should try.

The Huffington Post reported that Thailand and 641 massage therapists broke a world record for mass massage on Thursday and will now be listed in the book of Guinness World Records for their efforts. The therapists simultaneously massaged clients for 12 minutes straight at an exhibition hall in Bangkok. The event, organized by Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health, was intended to promote the local massage industry. The previous record was achieved by Australia in 2010, when 263 therapists massaged simultaneously for 5 minutes.

Thailand is a country located in the Southeast region of Asia. Guinness World Records, previously known as the Guinness Book of World Records, is a reference book housing information regarding worldwide achievements. The book was first published in 1955, and has since been turned into several television series and a chain of museums across the country. A new version of the book is published annually, honoring both human achievements and those in nature.

Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand. It is located in the Southern region of the country and boasts a population of just under 6 million people. In the country’s native language of Thai, the city is called Krung Thep Maha Nakhon. Bangkok’s history can be traced back as far as the early 1600s, when it was only a small village ruled by the Siamese kingdom of Ayutthaya.
