MercyMe Workshop Launched Today; Fans Now Able to Play the Band's Songs Courtesy of WorkshopLive.com, the Music Lesson Experts

Grammy-Nominees MercyMe launched the MercyMe Workshop today where fans receive breakthrough instruction on how to play their favorite songs directly from the band members. The site is powered by WorkshopLive.com, the music lesson experts, on the heels of the huge success of the similar site for guitar legend Joe Satriani earlier last month.

Greenville, TX (PRWEB) July 18, 2008 -- MercyMe guitarists, Barry Graul and Mike Scheuchzer today launched the first phase of the band's latest project, the MercyMe Workshop, an innovative new way for fans to learn how to play their most popular songs. This first phase of the three year project includes the guitar parts of songs like I Can Only Imagine and God With Us and comes complete with downloadable sheet music, animated notation, tab and fretboard all supported by an online forum where fans can help each other learn more. The band also plans to offer these fans exclusive live Webcasts where they'll perform and respond to questions from fans and students.

"I am loving the fact that we've found a partner like WorkshopLive who helped us convey our message so well. We're not professional music teachers but the end product definitely made us look like we were. Our fans are going to love this." said lead singer, Bart Millard.

The MercyMe Workshop is a members-only service of WorkshopLive.com, the leading online community for learning music using a proven methodology and curriculum, and is subsidized by advertising so members only pay $9.95/month for two super-sized lessons, Webcasts, forums, and the opportunity to learn directly from the band. These workshops are a great new way for the artist to connect with their fans and were pioneered by the guitar legend, Joe Satriani earlier this year. The launch of the MercyMe Workshop will be followed by none other than jazz guitar icon George Benson coming in August to WorkshopLive.com.
