Show surprises Dad of 16 year-old school bully victim

Pulling off the double surprise was amazing. Everyone was shocked, especially Rob's wife Montica who nominated her daughter. She never suspected that we planned to provide hair restoration for her husband too!

It's common knowledge that fathers and daughters have a close bond and share many physical traits, but it's a bit unique when they both suffer dramatic hair loss. Such is the case with Myranda Watts and her dad Rob.

In November 2008, Hair Loss Confidential launched their first full webisode on their website Hair Loss Confidential. The webisode, featuring 16 year-old Myranda, was shot in October in St. Louis, MO. The show ended with a cliffhanging surprise.

The surprise is revealed to viewers now at Hair Loss Confidential website. Hair Loss Confidential surprised Myranda's dad Rob, who has extensive hair loss, with a life-changing hair transformation the same day as Myranda - and just feet away from his daughter. Myranda learned of her Dad's transformation just minutes after her own hair restoration reveal. Her first words to her Dad: "You have hair!!" Dad's response: "So do you!!"

Show creator and Executive Producer, Lisa Zimmerman, was ecstatic with the hair loss transformations of both father and daughter. "Pulling off the double surprise was amazing. Everyone was shocked, especially Rob's wife Montica who nominated her daughter. She never suspected that we planned to provide hair restoration for her husband too!" said Ms. Zimmerman.

Show producers became aware that Rob suffered from significant male pattern baldness while reviewing family photos. A decision was made to surprise Rob and his family, including his daughter Myranda, during the filming of the show in Caseyville, IL. Rob cried when it was announced that he would also be a recipient of a hair transformation. "I'm hoping for a new beginning. Something I can share with my daughter so she can see that she's not the only one going through it," Rob said.

Myranda has suffered from alopecia areata since she was 13 and has been the victim of verbal and physical bullying at school. The emotional turmoil has taken a serious toll on both Myranda and all members of her family.

The show's premise is based upon an intervention directed by a clinical psychologist who guides the subject and their family through the emotional roller-coaster experienced as a result of the hair loss crisis. The subject is offered a life-changing hair transformation performed by a prestigious and reputable hair restoration center in their local area. After the emotional and exciting reveal to family, friends and of course, the television audience, cameras continue to roll as we share the experience of how a life has been changed through the gift of hair.

Both Rob and Myranda received amazing transformations at Hans Wiemann Hair Replacements in St. Louis. Upon seeing his daughter, Rob hugged her and said, "I'm proud of you. You know that." As for how the life-changing restoration made him feel, Rob stated, "Now I stand a little taller."

The next webisode of Hair Loss Confidential will be available to view in April at http://www.HairLossConfidential.tv.
