nopooh has responded to the Haiti earthquake crisis by donating clothes to those that were left homeless in this desperate time of need. Millions of Haitians’ lives have been destroyed. Hundreds of thousands of people have died and at least one million people have been left without their families, shelter, food, water and clothing.
In an effort to help with the continuing disaster caused by the earthquake in Haiti in January, nopooh has donated approximately $25,000.00 worth of cool t-shirts – 750 bright and colorful cotton tees for men, women, and children. Clean clothing is critical and will continue to be critical in the upcoming days. By donating tees, nopooh can help those that have been most affected by this disaster. nopooh has donated approximately 150 Hillary Clinton tees, 300 Barry Obama tees, 150 John McCain tees, along with several hundred others through charitable organizations in the USA.
Historically, Haiti has suffered greatly from poverty, lack of infrastructure, unacceptable sanitation conditions, and poor healthcare. This earthquake was a 7.0 on the Richter scale causing even more devastation and chaos for the Haitian people. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and approximately 80% of people live in poverty.
It is clear that the Haitian people will continue to need relief assistance in the upcoming months, so nopooh wanted to help by making clean clothing donations. nopooh holds close ties to people who work for various humanitarian and charitable agencies that were instrumental in expediting the delivery of the tees to Haiti.
