We are always looking to expand the community aspect of Costumzee and there are now more options for visitors to become directly involved through the forum, how-tos, costume contest, and costume idea wiki. And there is more to come with improvements coming in the near future.

Just in time for Halloween, Costumzee.com has re-launched, with new features to help consumers find the perfect Halloween costumes for 2008.
Costumzee is now more community-oriented than ever, with a more user-friendly design and useful new features. Costumzee provides regular reports on popular trends within the costume industry and presents it in fun and concise formats via the Costumzee Billboard, the Top 100 Most Popular Costume Ideas, and Trend Charts on every costume idea page.
Scott Jangro, co-founder of Costumzee says "We are always looking to expand the community aspect of Costumzee and there are now more options for visitors to become directly involved through the forum, how-tos, costume contest, and costume idea wiki. And there is more to come with improvements coming in the near future."
Costumzee's feature list has been bolstered with even more interactive content. Not limiting itself to showcasing pre-made costumes from its impressive list of partners, Costumzee offers a "How-To" costuming section, tapping into the ever-popular DIY sector of the market. Each "How-To" lists each of the items needed to create a do-it-yourself costume, the necessary steps for assembling it, and pictures. With the increasing popularity of many cosplay and fandom conventions where attendees dress as favorite characters, this is a valuable, and fun, tool for visitors to Costumzee.
The newly-added Costumzee Billboard shows the weekly popularity of costume ideas and whether that popularity is rising or declining. Further, online visitors can visualize at a glance the popularity of any costume idea by referring to the trend chart located on each page. "This new feature not only helps our online visitors to determine if a costume is trendy, but it is giving insight into invaluable costume industry data. Our data is based on the searching and browsing activity of millions of online visitors and provides a unique view into what people are dressing up as each year," adds Scott.
In preparation for Halloween 2008, Costumzee has added even more, including modules on its homepage like the "This Week's Best Sellers". This presents online visitors with the bestselling Halloween products available at its online partners for the prior several days.
This year again, Costumzee predicts that the Hollywood movie related costumes would be most popular. Its top three includes:
"It is no surprise that Hollywood movies are driving Halloween costume sales as much as ever. 2008 has been a great year for character-based movies," says Scott. "This trend is sure to continue with an amazing list of 2009 blockbuster movies such as Transformers 2, Thor, Watchmen, GI Joe, Harry Potter, and more."
