Hanoi, Vietnam (PRWEB) October 5, 2009
Accor, the largest international hotel operator in Vietnam, has announced the Mercure Hanoi La Gare hotel officially open to the public. The hotel, located in the heart of Hanoi with 102 spacious rooms, marked its recent opening with a series of glamorous guests and events.
Vietnamese actress-turned-singer superstar Trang Nhung became the first famous guest to stay at Mercure Hanoi La Gare. Miss Nhung spent three nights at the hotel as part of a short break in Hanoi with friends, delighting fellow guests and staff with her presence.
The hotel received more glamorous attention when it hosted its maiden fashion shoot. Vietnamese fashion label Alcado used the hotel as the backdrop for a photo shoot which subsequently appeared on a number of popular Vietnamese lifestyle websites.
As well as attracting fame, the hotel gave a little out as Mr Heiko J. Gerdau, a logistics general manager from Germany, became its first paying customer. Mr Gerdau, who is a regular guest at another hotel, presented the hotel with a gift, an oil painting of Ha Long Bay, to mark his momentous stay.
Situated in the heart of the bustling center of Hanoi, the Mercure Hanoi La Gare is a modern mid-scale hotel which serves as the door to the nearby commercial precinct, foreign embassies, State companies, Government Ministries, the historic central railway station, Hanoi's historic Old Quarter and the Hanoi International Exhibition Center. The hotel is also within easy reach of other tourist attractions such the Temple of Literature (Van Mieu), Hoan Kiem lake, and Hanoi Opera House.
In celebration of its grand opening, Mercure Hanoi La Gare is offering a special launch promotion with room rates starting from USD75.
