Hard Rock Hotel San Diego Delivers Distinctive Four-Star Luxury Destination With Unique Rock Vibe To Renowned Gaslamp Quarter. All Proceeds From Black Eyed Peas-Designed Suite To Benefit Band’s Charity, The Peapod Foundation.

The highly anticipated Hard Rock Hotel San Diego marks its official Grand Opening, Monday, December 10 with an exclusive performance by the Grammy® Award-winning Black Eyed Peas.

Hard Rock Hotel San Diego partnered with the Grammy® Award-winning Black Eyed Peas to collaborate on the design for one of the hotel’s Rock Star Suites, and to raise awareness and funds for The Black Eyed Peas’ charity, The Peapod Foundation, a global organization dedicated to providing opportunities and support for children worldwide (http://www.peapodfoundation.org).

In designing their Rock Star Suite, the group -- will.i.am, Fergie, apl.de.ap and Taboo -- hand selected everything from the furniture to the bed linens and the suite will reflect band members’ personal touches, such as a video greeting from will.i.am for guests staying in the suites, where he suggests everything from his favorite haunts in the historic Gaslamp Quarter to choice tunes stashed in his personal music collection.

Situated at the entrance to the city’s renowned Gaslamp Quarter, Hard Rock Hotel San Diego is poised to be a hub of activity and a destination unto itself. The property boasts an upscale, contemporary design, signature restaurants, sophisticated nightlife and exceptional customer service with Hard Rock’s signature rock ‘n’ roll edge. A dynamic lobby with soaring 40-foot ceilings welcomes guests as music courses through the air, courtesy of specialized set lists created by the property’s own Vibe Manager. Stylish Usherettes greet guests and guide them to check-in kiosks, while an ever-changing Technicolor light wall welcomes guests to the pulse and energy of Hard Rock.

The 12-story, 315,000-square-foot property features 420 suites, 40,000 square feet of unique indoor/outdoor meeting space, nightlife destinations created by Rande Gerber including the sultry lobby lounge, Sweetwater Saloon and rooftop respite, Moonstone, a Nobu restaurant by celebrated chef Nobu Matsuhisa, and the Hard Rock Hotel’s own signature comfort-chic coffee shop, Maryjane’s. Additionally, sweet-spot Pinkberry will offer its irresistible frozen yogurt served with the freshest toppings – a culinary concept with fanatics nationwide.

Hard Rock Hotel San Diego breaks with the standards of conventional design with suites that feature stunning cantilevered furniture, halo-illuminated beds that create a sense of floating, 300-thread count cotton linens, state-of-the-art lighting, celebrity green-room inspired refreshment centers and sensually-styled bathrooms with ceiling-mounted rain showers. Technology is infused through the rooms with integrated video and sound systems, including a home-theatre entertainment center with 42” LCD high-definition televisions with jack pack that connects a variety of electronic devices, WiFi Internet access and a laptop safe. Guests are also treated to the world-class Rock Spa and state of the art fitness center. Each suite is unique with one of the top floor suites featuring a fire pit and deck seating for 20, while another boasts 270-degree views of the San Diego Bay and an outdoor hot tub.
