According to the blog, emerging global markets will soon begin exporting luxury fashion and accessories that flaunt the national and cultural heritages of countries like Brazil, China and India.

Symbols, lifestyles and traditions formerly shunned or downplayed, are being brought up to date and incorporated into some of the world’s most expensive fashion lines, to become a source of pride for domestic consumers, and available to global consumers.

Mumbai-based luxury fashion designer Masaba Gupta's House of Masaba will soon begin exporting a high end spring line that includes a modern, quirky take on the traditional Indian saree, with pop art prints and modern motifs. First released in spring 2012, the black-and-white camera print saree has been favored by Indian celebrities, as have the House of Masaba cow and animal-print versions. China’s first luxury fashion brand Ne-Tiger, renowned for its East-meets-West “ethnically inspired designs,” just presented its latest haute couture Huafu collection in Milan.

Korean luxury boutique brand Sulwhasoo, already taking U.S. runways by storm, is expected to expand to top shelf Korean beauty products according to the same study. reported that Sulwhasoo’s product lines feature native Korean botanicals and medicinal herbs, including ginseng and white peony root.
