We are pleased to be partnering with ToyotaMobility to support the good work of HeadNorth.

Ability Center, a pioneer in the realm of mobility equipment and solutions, has today announced they will field a team to participate in the HeadNorth Challenge Silverstrand Half Marathon and 5K on Sunday, November 13. All proceeds from race entries and sponsorships go directly to benefitting individuals and families who have been affected by a spinal cord injury.
The HeadNorth Challenge Silverstrand Half Marathon and 5K will run from Coronado to Imperial Beach. Participants are welcome to run or walk, skate or handcycle/wheelchair throughout the duration of the race. Each participant will also receive an official HeadNorth Challenge t-shirt, refreshments in the HeadNorth booth after the race and will be entered to win a range of prizes.
All finalists racing with handcycles/wheelchairs will be officially recognized after the race and will receive financial awards, as well. However, the real “prize” here is the ability of participants and sponsors to make an immediate, recognizable impact in the life of someone who has suffered from a spinal cord injury.
Money generated through the Challenge will go directly to rehabilitation needs, as well as programs designed to help those with spinal cord injuries reintegrate with society and life. There are few such opportunities to make this kind of incredible impact in the life of someone who has suffered such a debilitating injury.
Ability Center is gathering a team to participate in the race, but the mobility dealership is also seeking the support of sponsors. Those who wish to participate as part of the team can sign up through the HeadNorth website at http://www.HeadNorth.org/challenge. Simply click on Ability Center in the Team Rank listing to the right of the page, click “Join Our Team” and then sign up for the preferred package. Participants can sign up for the half marathon, the 5K HN Challenge or the 5K Youth Challenge (15 years of age and under).
Ability Center invites everyone interested to join the team or sponsor their efforts and help make a difference in someone’s life today. “We are pleased to be partnering with ToyotaMobility to support the good work of HeadNorth,” Claudia Obertreis, President of Ability Center.
