Doctors Health Press, a division of Lombardi Publishing Corporation and publisher of various natural health newsletters, books, and reports, including the popular Doctors Health Press e-Bulletin, is pleased to announce the addition of Helke Ferrie, author and world-renowned medico-political advocate, to its team.
Born in Germany, Ferrie grew up in India, studying at an American international school and Zurich University. By 1995, she earned a BA in ancient near Eastern archaeology and Chinese history and philosophy, and an MA in physical anthropology from the University of Toronto. Ferrie is a regular contributor to Vitality magazine, writing the lead article for each issue since 1999.
Following a serious illness caused by a lifelong exposure to DDT and dental amalgam mercury, Ferrie became interested in the politics of medicine and began writing to help inform others and initiate action. Her articles on these issues have been published since 1997 in many venues, including Vitality magazine. In 2002, she incorporated KOS Publishing Inc., which produces books on medico-political issues. Ferrie’s books Dispatches from the War Zone of Environmental Health (2004), What Part of No! Don’t They Understand? (2008), and her new 2013 book Creative Outrage can be downloaded at http://www.helkeferrie.com.
“We are excited to have Helke join us here at Doctors Health Press,” says Adrian Newman, President of Doctors Health Press. “Helke brings with her years of professional experience in this field, and her personal experiences surely contribute to her strength and expertise, particularly in the field of mercury poisoning. We look forward to our continued partnership with Helke and we are pleased to welcome her aboard.”
Ferrie will be a regular contributor to the Doctors Health Press Cures for the Hidden Causes of Illness newsletter and Doctors Health Press e-Bulletin.
