Atlas Research Awarded U.S. Health and Human Services Contract to Establish Emergency Care Situational Awareness Tool

This new tool will monitor and analyze the functioning of hospital emergency departments and improve awareness of emergency situations and national trends for policymakers, emergency medical managers, and health systems administrators.

Washington, District of Columbia (PRWEB) October 8, 2009 -- Atlas Research LLC has been awarded a prime contract from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Emergency Care Coordination Center to establish an Emergency Care Situational Awareness Tool. The tool will monitor and analyze the functioning of hospital emergency departments and improve awareness of emergency situations and national trends for policymakers, emergency medical managers, and health systems administrators.

Led by clinical and health systems expert Brent Gibson, M.D., the team will develop an unobtrusive tool that promotes collaboration and enhances the nation's system of emergency medical care delivery. The project will be managed by Atlas Research in collaboration with major clinical partners and information technology firms.
