This weekend, the Los Angeles Daily News hosted a free Healthy Living Expo at the Universal Hilton Hotel. Following the event, Massage School San Diego honored the L.A. Daily News with its weekly “step forward” pick of the week award. MSSD, a supporter of healthy living, vegan foods and holistic schools in San Diego, uses its “step forward” awards weekly to recognize organizations and individuals who make great strides in the healthy living or massage therapy spheres.
On Saturday Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Los Angeles Daily News hosted the Health Living Expo. The event was free and held at the Universal Hilton Hotel in Universal City. During the Expo, participants could take part in health screenings, donate blood, watch demonstrations, and enter raffle drawings. Health screenings included blood pressure, balance, and more. Exhibitors were also on hand to tout local health activities and services, including the Total Woman Gym and Day Spa, NoHo Dental Group and the Glendale Professional Hearing Center. Providence Health & Services also provided seminars on health care reform, early insurance enrollment and men’s and women’s health.
