A local online shoe store is now a drop-off site for shoe donations and will give all donors a coupon.
HealthyFeetStore.com has begun a partnership with the charity Give Your Sole, which gives gently used athletic shoes to local rescue missions and shelters. HealthyFeetStore.com’s administrative office is now accepting donations of all types of shoes for those less fortunate.
The shoes donated can range from new to gently used and must still be wearable. Shoes can have slight wear on the tread and faded color, but please do not donate shoes with holes.
Each donor will be rewarded with a coupon code for 10% off their next purchase on HealthyFeetStore.com’s online store. HealthyFeetStore.com’s administrative office will be a shoe donation destination through April 30, 2011.
Please bring shoes to:
HealthyFeetStore.com Administrative Office
7965 Dunbrook Road
San Diego, CA 92126
Signs you need new shoes:
A lot of tread missing on the outsole
The shoes cause you pain
300-400 miles for athletic shoes
The shoes are always smelly or moist inside
If the shoes have holes
If the closure system on the shoes fails to work
If the shoes can be twisted (when held at toe box and heel), which means the support has deteriorated
