The company known for its staff of qualified audiologists in Nashville, Audiology Associates & Hearing Aids Today, is offering musicians a way to protect their ears while still enjoying the music. The earpiece of choice for performing musicians and concert attendees is the custom ear plug. It is also a great option for anyone who needs to hear accurately in high noise environments. Popular with music teachers, DJs, flight attendants, bartenders, waitresses, dentists and dental workers, the canal-style earplug is virtually unnoticeable. The flat attenuation characteristics allow the wearer to hear accurately, but at a safer volume.
Exposure to an extremely loud concert for a period of three hours can be enough to cause lasting damage to a musician’s hearing. In fact, according to OSHA, 115db is acceptable for only 15 minutes of exposure. Some concert PA systems are designed to be able to hit 120db, at the mix position halfway through the room. To musicians and sound engineers, the ear is the most invaluable instrument that they use. The staff at Audiology Associates & Hearing Aids Today is now providing custom earplugs for musicians and sound engineers because they understand why it is important that these musicians preserve their hearing.

About Audiology Associates & Hearing Aids Today:
The goal at Audiology Associates & Hearing Aids Today is to provide its clients with the best possible hearing care, based upon their individual needs. The staff provides a comprehensive array of services related to evaluation, rehabilitation and prevention of hearing impairment. These services include comprehensive hearing evaluations, specialized diagnostic testing, and industrial hearing screenings. Choosing a hearing professional is one of the most important decisions a hearing impaired person can make. Since a hearing aid cannot be prescribed like eye glasses, a proper hearing aid recommendation and fitting is highly dependent on the judgment and skill of the professional selecting the instrument. The staff tests new patient’s hearing, selects and dispenses the hearing instrument to best meet their needs, provides support and counseling in addition to servicing the hearing system.
