Heart Disease “Health Spotlight” Featured on Health Site Guide

The pre-searched portal spotlights the leading cause of death in the US and offers pre-searched links to valuable information, organizations, and more

Great Neck, N.Y. (PRWEB) September 19, 2006 -- Coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. The disease is caused by a narrowing of the coronary arteries that supply blood to the heart. This often results in a heart attack, affecting about 1.1 million Americans each year. Nearly half of those heart attacks are fatal and occur within 1 hour of the start of symptoms and before the person reaches the hospital.

Recognizing the importance of being better informed about heart disease, including preventative measures to deal with the #1 killer, (http://www.healthsiteguide.com), the free, pre-searched health information portal, is currently running a feature on Heart Disease as part of the site’s Health Spotlight.

“Heart Disease affects millions of people each year, considering the loss of life and devastation to families,” states Bob Lipp, co-creator of Health Site Guide. “Health Site Guide is a one-stop portal with direct links to information appearing on dozens of recognized health websites. This makes searching for information fast and reliable.”

The Health Spotlight on Heart Disease can be found on the Health Site Guide homepage (http://www.healthsiteguide.com), by clicking on the graphic entitled “Health Spotlight: Heart Disease.” From there, visitors will see a page with a wide variety of direct links to important information. These include videos, 3D animation, easy warning signs, comments from medical doctors, leading societies, organizations and more. The information is extensive and important for everyone.

“We at Health Site Guide understand that looking into health concerns can be a cause of great anxiety,” Lipp states. “Hopefully this spotlight will help individuals along in finding out what they need to know.”

Health Site Guide features include overviews of leading websites written by a medical savvy staff, links to drug information, videos, animation, medical encyclopedias, human body atlas, interactive tools, and more. Along with Heart Disease, there are several hundred other health concerns which link users to sites where they can find the information they need, by going right to the subject page.

The site also includes a membership area where individuals (who provide a nickname and password only, no personal information is ever required) can receive the latest streaming news on a wide range of health concerns, and more, making http://www.healthsiteguide.com a fully interactive and informative experience.
