Herbal Remedy Company Donates to 1% For the Planet
AstroNutrition.com, a seller of herbal remedy solutions and health supplement products, announces that it is donating 1 percent or more of its gross annual revenue to support environmental sustainability. The money will go to One Percent for the Planet.
Vancouver, BC Canada (PRWEB) May 11, 2007 -- One of the world's most earth-conscious suppliers of herbal remedy solutions and health supplement products, Astronutrition.com, is teaming up with One Percent for the Planet to donate at least 1 percent of its gross annual revenues toward environmental sustainability initiatives.
"AstroNutrition recognizes we are facing a critical and potentially disastrous time and need to restore our planet back to health," said Chester Ku-Lea, Founder and President of the company. "We need to make business decisions that include the health of our planet. We no longer have the luxury of only thinking in terms of individual profit, we need to give what we can in order to ensure a healthy world for our grandchildren and their grandchildren."
One Percent for the Planet is a non-profit organization whose members include some of the biggest names in business. They fund support organizations actively working to protect our global environment.
"We are in a very unique situation today facing issues such as global warming, and this is due in part to businesses making poor, selfish decisions in the past," says Ku-Lea. "We are learning that those decisions are now threatening our very existence. We can turn this around and make positive changes if every business and individual becomes more aware of these issues."
One Percent for the Planet was started in 2001 and has donated over $12 million towards environmental initiatives since its inception. The program has grown from 211 members in 2005 to over 500 members in 2007. Mr. Ku-Lea further explains, "We are proud to be working with an organization with integrity and focus.
