Hertz Investment Group Acquires the 111 East Capitol Building in Jackson, Mississippi

Hertz Investment Group currently owns and manages more than 40 major urban properties, representing nearly 12 million square feet of office space in the central business districts of 13 U.S. cities across ten states.

Hertz Investment Group confirmed today it has completed the acquisition of the 111 East Capitol Building in Jackson Mississippi. The seller was Parkway Properties of Orlando, Florida.

Today’s announcement brings to a total of 17 the buildings that Hertz Investment Group has acquired from Parkway in 2012, including 15 commercial office buildings and two parking structures, totaling 2,643,402 square feet. The 17 buildings acquired by Hertz this year from Parkway are located in Jackson, Mississippi; Memphis, Tennessee; and Richmond, Virginia.    

Said Gary Horwitz, President of Hertz Investment Group: “We now own and manage seven premier properties in Jackson, Mississippi. 111 East Capitol Building is an particularly fine acquisition that has been recently and completely renovated with lush landscaping, polished granite floors, new carpeting and new wall covering throughout the common areas. It is also one of the most technically advanced office buildings in the city, with fiber-optic cabling, high-speed Internet and a state-of-the-art electronic security and card-key system.”

The six-story 111 East Capitol office building at 111 East Capitol Street features an atrium lobby with skylights and three interior glass elevators. The modern exterior is constructed of pre-cast concrete and features tinted, energy-saving windows. Secure parking is available to tenants and guests in an attached parking garage and at the adjacent Parking at Jackson Place building which is also owned by Hertz Investment Group. On-site staff include a full complement of professional facility managers, security guards, building engineers and janitors.
