Sweepstakes Just In Time for Spring Home Improvements

With home improvement season here, Valpak will feature the popular HGTV show Holmes on Homes, and offer consumers an exciting chance to win a $5,000 grand prize to improve their own home.

Over 40 million envelopes will be mailed across the United States between April 5 through May 3 and will feature the promotion, prompting consumers to look inside for the entry form or go to Valpak.com to enter to win.

Consumers know to look in the Valpak envelope for significant home improvement and maintenance offers including bathroom and kitchen remodeling, cabinet refacing, carpet cleaning, closet design, garden centers, handyman service, home builders, interior designers, and paint and wallcovering stores, among others.

“The combination of Holmes on Homes and Valpak is the perfect blend of no-nonsense advice and professional know-how from Holmes and HGTV, with solid local offers on home improvement products and services from Valpak,” said Deanna Willsey, director of corporate communications for Valpak. “Whether consumers want to do-it-themselves or have someone do it for them, they are sure to be inspired by Holmes and find a great deal in Valpak.”

HGTV’s Holmes on Homes follows contractor Mike Holmes as he uncovers shoddy construction practices, improper techniques and downright rip-offs in this home improvement series. In each episode, Mike rescues homeowners from repair and renovation disasters ranging from plumbing problems and electrical issues to bad carpentry and faulty roofing. He then demonstrates how the botched job should have been completed, fixes each project and educates homeowners so that they are more informed before their next home improvement project.

The show airs Sundays at 9 p.m.CT. Promotional spots will air on HGTV to prompt its viewers to look for the Blue Envelope® from Valpak for great, local savings. HGTV.com is the nation's leading online home and garden destination that attracts an average of 5.2 million unique visitors per month.
