After wearing the same uniforms for six seasons, the Sprayberry High School girls volleyball team is in desperate need of new apparel. In an effort to assist the team, the Jones Agency, a locally owned insurance firm that serves communities in and around Marietta, has launched a charity drive to raise funds for the new uniforms.

As is so often the case with high school and many school-related activities, the Sprayberry volleyball team is on a shoestring budget and simply cannot afford to replace the aging uniforms. Cheryl, a mother of one of the girls on the Sprayberry team, says of the uniforms: “there are only so many times you can wash them before the sweat stains just won’t come off anymore.”

“These girls work hard, and they’re just as committed to their sport as the members of a sports franchise,” says Brian Jones, owner and manager of the Jones Agency. “Every member of the Sprayberry High girls volleyball team deserves to walk out onto the court in a sharp, crisp uniform that symbolizes the time and effort they’ve put into training.”

To help make that happen, Jones and his team are calling on community members, neighbors, friends, and business associates to explain the Sprayberry High funding shortfall and seek donations that will be used for new uniforms. The Jones team has even gone so far as to work up a social media page that they hope will draw in support and donations from all across Georgia.

In addition to assisting the Sprayberry High School girls volleyball team in acquiring new uniforms, Jones and his team plan to work with a host of other local charities in the years to come. “We plan to find a new charity that we can work with every month or two from now forward,” says Jones. “We just want to do out part to make Marietta a community we can all be proud of.”
