Last week, Atlanta-based hip hop ringtone company Hi-Fli Tones launched its new website, as well as an aggressive grassroots and viral marketing campaign. The website features ringtones from a "who's-who" of Atlanta's underground urban movement, including DJ Unk, Yola the Great, Shawty-Lo and Slick Pulla. Arming themselves with viral marketing weapons like YouTube, MySpace, and guerilla street teams, the ringtone website is seeing record activity and sales. Hi-Fli Tones is using its street credibility and authenticity to take the ringtone industry into uncharted territory.

Hi-Fli Tones co-founder Bernardo "Trey" Hicks, explains, "We saw an opportunity to fill a void that the mainstream market wasn't tapping. The giant ringtone companies don't have their ears to the street, and they aren't listening to the people, or the artists. We're just giving the market what they want, and having fun in the process." Co-founder Tim Maxman adds, "There are some incredible hip hop communities out there, like Allhiphop.com and SOHH. Hi-Fli Tones is a logical content and technology partner to these communities and we're building the necessary infrastructure to handle the growing demand."

About Hi-Fli Tones

Hi-Fli Tones is all about delivering street-authentic digital hip hop content to the masses. Founded by Bernardo Hicks and Tim Maxman, the company's aim is to offer an array of exclusive hip hop ringtones, songs, wallpaper, videos, and more from a roster of current and rising stars from today's underground hip hop music scene. Hi-Fli Tones lives by the belief that artists deserve greater respect, control, and compensation than the mainstream record industry currently provides. It is this philosophy, combined with its street credibility and access to the artists themselves that makes Hi-Fli so unique. Now, armed with an effective grassroots marketing campaign, Hi-Fli will become the go-to spot for what's hot on the streets.

Hi-Fli Tones continues to search for and provide opportunities for emerging artists to expand its fan base, and to raise awareness through the distribution of multimedia content. For more information on Hi-Fli Tones, please visit hi-flitones.com.
