WANTED Technologies ranks cities where hiring demand is highest compared to the available supply of candidates.

Employers have placed just over 67,000 new online job ads for Registered Nurses over the past 30 days across the United States, according to WANTED Analytics™, the leading source of real-time business intelligence for the talent marketplace (http://www.wantedanalytics.com). In many cities the hiring demand far outweighs the number of available job candidates creating a mis-match – more jobs and not enough workers.

The following partial list of metro areas where the difference between demand and supply exceed the national averages by the highest margin are the best places for Registered Nurses to look for work, as measured by WANTED’s Supply/Demand Ratios™.

1.    El Paso, Texas
2.    Fairbanks, Alaska
3.    Cleveland, Ohio
4.    Phoenix, Ariz.
5.    Miami, Fla.

Supply/Demand Ratios™ calculate the gap between local demand for workers and the supply of workers available. Each month, WANTED summarizes all job ads for each occupation that appear on online job boards and compares that to the number of employees in each occupation and city, as estimated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The difference between the demand and supply in each occupation and city is compared to the national average for that occupation. Cities where the mix of demand and supply exceed the national average are good bets for people looking for work.
