In the installation of walk in tubs, our company can easily handle the VA’s strict guidelines since we operate above the government’s minimum requirements.
Long Beach, California (PRWEB) August 31, 2012
Comfort Walk in Tubs announced yesterday, August 30, 2012, that the company now accepts installation of walk in bathtubs via HISA Grants. The company applied for a CCR Registration to accommodate veteran D. Ramsay’s choice of Comfort Walk in Tubs as his walk in bathtub contractor for his Home Improvement and Structural Alterations (H.I.S.A.) Grant. According to the Department Veterans Affairs, contractors need to register to CCR database before any grant or contract is authorized. Comfort Walk in Tubs enrolled in the Central Contractor Registration and was accepted. Mel Newman, the Senior Sales manager of Comfort Walk in Tubs, states that “Mr. Ramsay’s walk in tub installation is unique. The VA is quite strict in their procedures. However, our company can easily handle the VA’s strict guidelines since we operate above the government’s minimum requirement. Our sales staff worked diligently with Mr. Ramsay and the VA representative from the start and throughout the completion of the project.”
Mel Newman outlined the procedure of Comfort Walk in Tubs’ first installation of walk in bathtubs through HISA Grant . “First, the Veteran applied for HISA Grant. He obtained a prescription from a fee-based doctor or VA physician with specific indication of the need for a walk in bathtub together with the medical justification of its use. Ramsay also provided pictures of his bathroom before the walk in tub installation started. He also obtained a detailed quotation from Comfort Walk in Tubs showing an itemized quotation of the estimated materials, costs and labor cost and the building construction required for the project. Second, the Comfort Walk in Tubs received a letter from the VA Long Beach Health Care System giving authorization for the HISA Grant project to begin. Third, Comfort Walk in Tubs installed the new walk in bathtub according to MR. Ramsay specifications. Fourth, Comfort Walk in Tubs obtained a letter from MR. Ramsay showing his satisfaction of the work done. Fifth, the company submitted all the required forms from the VA and received payment of $6,800.”
