Historical Clothing Realm proves its name refers not just to earth’s history but that of galaxies far, far away. The site, known especially for its array of Renaissance era clothing, is featuring a line of Star Wars costumes that are officially-licensed products from the film series. Comic Con attendees, Halloween revelers, and everyday Star Wars enthusiasts alike will find their beloved characters captured in these detailed garments.
Consistently voted one of the top movie characters of all time, young hero Luke Skywalker undergoes quite the evolution from his days as a moisture farmer to a Rebel Commander, giving fans quite an array of different looks to choose from. The Luke Skywalker Full Jedi Ensemble mimics his attire in Return of the Jedi. The match between the movie costume and this ensemble is peerless from the Jedi cloak to the single leather glove. The fabrics are custom-dyed, and attention was given to matching the weight and color of the original clothing.
Historical Clothing Realm also features the Luke Skywalker Ceremonial Jacket and Medal from ceremony thrown for Luke and Han Solo after their courageous destruction of the Death Star. Provided by Museum Replicas, an official replica of this costume has not been available for 33 years because the actual motorcycle jacket worn by Mark Hamill is now privately owned. HCR’s ensemble includes the Medal of Yavin awarded for intergalactic bravery.
Father to Luke, Anakin went from a pod-racing imp to a full-fledged Jedi to his alter ego as the infamous villain Darth Vader. Costuming provided by Historical Clothing Realm highlights his more hopeful days with a full Jedi Ensemble, including the single leather glove to hide his identifiable robotic arm. The Jedi Belt comes complete with accessories such as a buckle, Jedi food capsules, resin Jedi pouches, and a Covertec belt clip to attach a lightsaber.
Padme, the woman who would become Queen Amidala of Naboo, is a figure of beauty, grace, and kindness. Historical Clothing Realm features one of her regal gowns. Every layer of this dress has been crafted to reflect the costume worn by Natalie Portman on the silver screen – the silk inner and outer skirts, the silk and cotton blouse, the authentic metal armbands and stones, and the genuine velvet vest with custom beadwork and embroidery. These pieces are so intricate that the design on the front of her vest alone takes an entire day to duplicate. To complete the costume are a pair of hand-made leather pumps with a custom 2” Coruscant-curved heel.
Other costumes featured on Historical Clothing Realm include pieces for Obi-Wan Kenobi, an Imperial Death Star Officer, and an Imperial Fleet Officer.
