Sunday, October 16, 2011 marks the 6 month anniversary of the tornadoes that swept through Raleigh, NC. My Better Tomorrow, LLC is officially launching their new online Home Inventory and Disaster Preparedness Service on the anniversary of these devastating storms. Out of this tragedy an amazing home inventory and disaster preparedness service offering is born.

The storm system that brought severe weather and tornadoes during its 3 day run is now referred to as the April 14 - 16 Tornado Outbreak and put disaster preparedness and home inventory to the test. Out of the 178 confirmed tornadoes in this event was a supercell that spawned an EF3 tornado that touched down in Apex, NC, then stayed on the ground for a historic run of 60 miles - cutting its path through Raleigh, NC until it finally dissipated in the north east region of North Carolina.

"I remember that day well", says My Better Tomorrow founder, Clay Sinclair. "Our local news had been covering this storm system for a couple of days. They did tell us that Raleigh could be in the path of this storm by mid day - the 16th of April."

As that Saturday unfolded, so did the Raleigh Tornadoes. "The sky was an eerie green color, and it became so dark that the street lights in my cul-de-sac turned on even though it was only 3pm" recalls Clay Sinclair. "Then debris started flying around and I gathered my family into the only interior room of the house and held on. In a matter of a minute, we heard the tornado's classic freight train sound pass by the back of our house, then it was done. Utter devastation and chaos ... like a scene from a movie."

Spring forward 6 months from April 16, 2011 and MyBetterTomorrow.com is born. My Better Tomorrow is a service every homeowner and renter needs. In the event a homeowner or renter has to make an insurance claim against the contents portion of their insurance policy, it's their responsibility to prove to the insurance company what they lost.

"We're advocates of protecting your assets", adds Clay Sinclair. "We simply bridge the gap to connect your insurance policy with the maximum payout benefit of your policy. Without MBT (My Better Tomorrow), you can lose 50% or more of the value of your home contents ... and that's a financial blow nobody can take."

My Better Tomorrow is designed in the preferred format of major insurance providers. Setting up and maintaining your home inventory has never been so easy. After you add items to your account, MBT locks it down "in the cloud" and backs up your data 3 times a day. Using RackSpace.com's secure servers, your data is there when you need it. Now that's, Peace of Mind!

Storing your items on your computer or filing cabinet leaves your data vulnerable to destruction by fire, storm, power surges and even a simple computer crash. Learn more at MyBetterTomorrow.com.
