This is the strongest February sales we've had since 2007.

The latest Homes.org real estate report turns attention to a market that is on the rise - Boise, Idaho. Like much of the country, the Boise real estate market has not been immune to the industry-wide troubles that came with the decline of the economy. However, the first two months of 2012 have been very promising in Boise, building off the momentum that came at the end of last year.

The latest home sales reports from Intermountain MLS show that the number of sales and prices are up compared to 2011 while the days on market and number of active listings is down. All of these statistics are indicative of increased buying interest.

Members of the Ada County Realtors Association, like executive officer Marc Lebowitz, are very encouraged by the news, "this is the strongest February sales we've had since 2007." Boise real estate agents are now finding that sales are outpacing listings with 1,080 properties sold or under contract since January while there have only been 928 single-family homes listed during that same time period.

If that trend continues Boise may be a seller's market soon.
