With a background in video game design and animation, company founder and CEO, Bobby Bala, was inspired to create a more modern and stylish home theater experience when he started the company several years ago. "Most of the seating that was offered at the time was very boring, overstuffed and traditional," he says. "I wanted to create designs that were more contemporary, sleek and sexy. My knowledge of video game design also helped to create our current interactive website that allows anyone to customize and build their own luxury theater chair to their specifications."        

The question may seem a bit obvious, but what really is a theater chair exactly? Elite HTS' Operations Manager, Chris Parsons, explains, "We try to educate the consumer that the definition of a theater chair isn't simply a reclining chair with two cup holders drilled into the tops of the arms. A true theater chair must provide comfort and support for hours on end so that the viewer can escape into the world that they are watching. Most people can relate to a typical outing to their local movie theater where they are shifting and adjusting in their seat trying to get comfortable because of pressure buildup in the lower back. This prevents them from fully escaping into the fantasy world presented by the film. We ensure that all of our seating has ample lumbar support in addition to other important factors such as acoustic efficiency," Parsons concludes.
