Many of the races on this list sell out; Team Hope For The Warriors® provides athletes another avenue to participate while making their race more meaningful. Fundraising requirements vary by race.
“Many of our Team members first join because our charity bib allowed them to register for a sold out race,” Jenlene Nowak, Team Hope For The Warriors® Director said. “Once they join, many stay on the Team because they love the camaraderie and because they are equally committed to supporting military families. “
Team Hope For The Warriors® is already accepting registrations for the USA Nation’s Capital Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon & ½ (http://www.hopeforthewarriors.org/capitalrock) and the TD Five Boro Bike Tour (http://www.hopeforthewarriors.org/tdbiketour). The New York City Half will also be open soon. There are a very limited number of race bibs available for these races and people are encouraged to register early. Team Hope For The Warriors® provides athletes of all abilities the opportunity to engage the competitive spirit at endurance events. Warrior Team members are provided adaptive equipment and race support to ensure that they are defined by their achievements rather than by their injuries. Community Team members challenge themselves to raise funds for America’s heroes, set new athletic goals, or simply support our military. Together, these Team members are united by the goal to improve the rehabilitation of combat wounded service members and military families.
