McDonough District Hospital(MDH) recently chose Inpatient Management Inc. (IMI) to provide hospitalist services at its primary location in Macomb, Il. The contract is for IMI 360, a comprehensive program of hospital medicine that includes complete program management, IMI-employed staff, Dyad Leadership and comprehensive metrics, reporting and accountability.
“We selected the IMI 360 comprehensive program to increase McDonough District Hospital’s overall service,” said Linda Dace, Interim Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Finance. “The IMI hospital medicine program will help us accomplish important goals for McDonough—improving core measures, enhancing physician recruiting, increasing patient satisfaction, reducing costs and enhancing our role in providing outstanding healthcare to the communities we serve.” Wanda Foster, MDH Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer was instrumental in the development of the hospital medicine program, is managing the transition to the IMI program start up and will be responsible for the ongoing program management.
MDH is a 113-bed not-for-profit hospital located in Macomb, Ill. serving communities in west-central Illinois. Operating since 1958, MDH is accredited by The Joint Commission, earning the Gold Seal of Approval, and offers a wide range of accredited inpatient and outpatient services through the hospital and a network of clinics and laboratories. “The IMI 360 program is versatile and a good match for our hospital clients regardless of their size,” noted David Cornett, IMI Vice President for Business Development. “It is a comprehensive hospital medicine program tailored to fit each client.” The MDH hospitalist program will include a Physician Director, a physician hospitalist and a Nurse Director with provision to grow as inpatient needs require.
