Irvine (Vocus/PRWEB) January 22, 2011
Mike Seyle, WATG president and CEO, announced the appointment of Jonathan Wyman as director of development, North America. In his new role, Wyman will work closely with the firm’s senior leaders to build relationships and create new business opportunities throughout North America for the firm’s core service lines of architecture, interiors, planning, landscape, and strategy.
“For the past several years, the majority of our clients' projects have been in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, as many projects in the pipeline went on hold in the U.S.,” said Seyle. “However, we believe 2011 will mark the return of design opportunities in North America, starting with the renovation and repositioning of existing hospitality properties. Bringing Jon on board now -- with his high level of experience and respect in the industry -- puts us ahead of the curve.”
“I am thrilled to join one of the most respected design firms in the hospitality industry,” said Wyman. “I look forward to working with WATG’s talented senior leaders to continue to evolve the firm’s legacy and to position our firm for success in North America in the coming years.”
Previously, Wyman was vice president of business development at ValleyCrest Companies. Prior to that, he was vice president and director of business development at SB Architects.
Wyman will be attending the Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) in San Diego this month with Mike Seyle, President and CEO; Cristina Lanao-Rossel, Director of Business Development, Latin America; Raj Chandnani, Vice President, Director of Strategy; and Rhonda Rasmussen, Vice President, Director of Interior Design.
