BlueTie’s Application Enhancements Tackle Calendar Conflicts, Improve Performance

BlueTie is committed to continuous improvements that considerably improve the speed and value of our application to all users.

BlueTie has streamlined meeting scheduling in its best-in-class business email and collaboration application. Users are now able to schedule a meeting in three clicks with new application features that turn emails into meeting requests, retaining the message’s “To:” and “CC:” fields.

1. Users may turn emails into meeting requests by either clicking the “Schedule a Meeting” button while reading a message, through new right click functionality, or by dragging and dropping the email into a “New Event” field within the BlueTie application.
2. Once in the new meeting request window, users find the first available meeting time for all parties by clicking the “First Available” button which scans the personal calendars of all meeting attendees.
3. Once the first available time is scheduled, the user clicks save and the meeting request is sent to all parties.
“Calendaring and scheduling has been stagnant in hosted collaboration applications for too long,” said Shawn Ryan, Product Manager, BlueTie, Inc. “BlueTie is committed to continuous improvements that considerably improve the speed and value of our application to all users.”

BlueTie’s compose message window has also been enhanced and boasts a 70% reduction in load time. The window now offers more control over formatting messages and support for popular keyboard shortcuts. Additionally, the compose message window can be popped in or out of the email application offering more freedom to view other pages or documents while composing messages.

“Our products are constantly evolving to suit the needs of today’s SMB customer,” Ryan continued. “The focus is always on enhancing usability, functionality, and efficiency of the communication and collaboration process.”

BlueTie has also unveiled a POP and IMAP configuration wizard for Microsoft Outlook users. The wizard allows users to easily configure their Outlook application to connect to BlueTie’s mail server without the hassle of manually configuring settings.
