Wonderfile’s extensibility and white-label ability brings unmatched flexibility to our resellers and service providers. VARs told us they wanted a channel-friendly alternative to Microsoft SharePoint, and Wonderfile offers a powerful opportunity to grow their business with services and consulting revenue while strengthening their brand.
Rochester, NY (Vocus) September 14, 2010
BlueTie, an award-winning provider of hosted email and collaboration solutions for businesses, today announced a definitive agreement to acquire Wonderfile, a cloud based file storage and collaboration software application designed for businesses of all sizes. The deal strengthens the company’s position in the online collaboration software space against top competitors Google and Microsoft.
Developed by ArcStone, a leading Web development firm, Wonderfile intelligently organizes files in the cloud while offering selected users secure access to edit and collaborate from any Web browser. It categorizes documents by tagging them according to subject matter rather than organizing them in folders.
“As cloud-based file sharing and collaboration becomes increasingly important, companies are looking for intuitive and reliable applications that help them grow,” said David Koretz, BlueTie CEO. “The combination of BlueTie’s business class email and calendaring with a top notch file sharing application like Wonderfile is a very compelling story for our customers and channel partners.”
BlueTie currently serves more than 250,000 small businesses worldwide. The Wonderfile product will be distributed through BlueTie's partners including Value-Added Resellers (VARs), ISPs, and website hosting providers.
“The channel was clamoring for a simple business collaboration tool, from a company that doesn't compete against its own partners," said Jeremy Hunter, BlueTie President. “Wonderfile’s extensibility and white-label ability brings unmatched flexibility to our resellers and service providers. VARs told us they wanted a channel-friendly alternative to Microsoft SharePoint, and Wonderfile offers a powerful opportunity to grow their business with services and consulting revenue while strengthening their brand.”
This announcement comes on the heels of BlueTie’s recent push for channel partners. The company recently announced a new reseller program as well as a Hosted Exchange 2010 hybrid solution for their partners. BlueTie intends to make their new product available to their distributors by the end of 2010.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
