Hotel Management Software Company Announces 2011 Scholarship Recipient

Co-founder of hotel management software company Frontdesk Anywhere presents scholarship to Collins College of Hospitality, Cal Poly Pomona student.

The 2011 Frontdesk Anywhere Inc. CLIA Academic Scholarship Award today was presented to Cal Poly Pomona student Christopher Delfs. The $1500.00 academic excellence scholarship was awarded to Delfs by Thomas Lyle, co-founder of the hotel management software company Frontdesk Anywhere, at the 65th Anniversary California Lodging Industry Anniversary Awards Dinner. The CLIA Academic Scholarship Award was developed to recognize students’ academic and extracurricular excellence while studying hospitality or a related major.

Delfs, a senior at Collins College of Hospitality at Cal Poly Pomona, was selected from many qualified scholarship applicants based on his academic excellence, extracurricular activities and involvement in the hospitality industry. Delfs belongs to a number of national and international academic honor societies and has interned for Marriott International. Delfs was unable to attend the award ceremony held in Concord, Calif. but did send a thank you video that was shown as part of his acceptance.

“We are delighted to announce Christopher as the recipient of this award amongst the many qualified candidates because of his many academic accomplishments,” said Thomas Lyle.
