Houlihan Smith & Company, Inc. (Houlihan) acted as an exclusive advisor to Tri-M Electrical Contractors, Inc. in the sale of that firm to Gaylor, Inc. The transaction was announced by Charles Botchway, Group Managing Director of Houlihan, and led by Houlihan Smith Managing Director Barry Petersen. Terms were not disclosed.
Founded in the 1930s, Tri-M Electrical is an electrical contracting business operating in South Carolina's Lowcountry and adjacent portions of Georgia, including the Savannah metro area. Based in Ridgeland, the firm performs installation work during the construction phase as well as upgrades to electrical systems in existing structures, and undertakes large-scale projects in both the private and public sectors.
Petersen noted that Houlihan performed extensive market research and took every possible step to create the perfect match for Tri-M in completing the transaction.
