Howcast Celebrates One Million Mobile Application Downloads on Two-Year Anniversary

In the two short years since its launch in February 2008, Howcast has cemented its position as the industry leader in the creation and distribution of quality instructional video content, empowering the world with engaging, useful how-to information wherever, whenever they need to know how with rapid growth in both traffic and revenue.

In the two short years since its launch in February 2008, Howcast has cemented its position as the industry leader in the creation and distribution of quality instructional video content, empowering the world with engaging, useful how-to information wherever, whenever they need to know how.

While on the go, Howcast's users are increasingly turning to its mobile apps making Howcast the #1 global mobile platform for instructional content with over one million downloads of its iPhone app and strong growth from its Google Android app since it was launched in November.

Users can also find Howcast's content both on Howcast.com and throughout the Howcast distribution network, which includes tens of thousands of distributors -- spanning mobile, online, broadcast TV, video on demand (VOD), and other platforms -- and includes many of the most popular destinations, like YouTube (where Howcast is a Top 100 YouTube content partner), MySpace, Yahoo!, Hulu, Associated Content, Comcast.net, and wikiHow. Across this network, Howcast is now logging well over 25 million video views every month, while traffic to Howcast.com alone more than doubled in the final quarter of 2009. Most notably, the company is on track to profitability by the end of the year.
