New Home Sales Coach Launches New Tutorial Series to Help Home Builders and Remodelers Dominate Their Local Competitors

New Home Sales Coach is hosting a no cost tutorial on how to capture online leads for home builders and remodelers on Thursday May 5th. The one hour online seminar will feature Jens Rhoades of JRhoades Consulting demonstrating how to use Google Places to dramatically increase website traffic.

New home and remodeling buyers are changing their online shopping habits again and Rick Storlie of New Home Sales Coach along with Jens Rhoades are ready to show home builders and remodelers how to use a new tool to capture more online leads.

Ever since the advent of smart phones, local search has quietly been climbing the preference ranks as a means for consumers to find a local builder. What started as a tool to find a local restaurant or a dry cleaner has morphed into the preferred method to find builders and remodelers that serve specific geographic markets.

Local search works like this. A person seeking a new home or remodeling contractor in a specific location only needs to type the area, city or neighborhood plus the keywords "home builder" or "remodeler". Next a map will show up with listings of the local home builders or remodelers.

According to Storlie, Google Places has become the preferred local search tool.

"Google Places allows anyone to remove the 'world' from world wide web and replace it with 'local'", Storlie recently commented. Storlie's company helps home builders and remodelers get more online visibility.

"It works both ways too. It's a lot easier for home builders and remodelers to show up at the top of local searches than organic searches where you have to compete with every other home builder or remodeler."

Once a person seeking a local home builder or remodeler finds a list of companies, they can find photos of their work, see customer reviews and even watch videos. An office, showroom or model home location will be shown on the map along with contact information.

"The customer reviews are similar to what or Ebay uses as social proof to confirm you've found a good company," said Storlie.

Google Places allows up to seven local home builders or remodelers to be found on the first search page. More listings can be found on subsequent pages but according to Storlie, companies that show up there won't see the results.

"Google Places uses a formula of local business listings, customer reviews and information entered into Google. And just like everything on Google, a home builder or remodeler needs to maintain their status otherwise a competitor can take their spot," said Storlie.

To help home builders and remodelers understand this formula, Storlie along with Google Places expert Jens Rhoades of JRhoades Consulting will be sharing strategies for getting listed on Google Places and how to stay in the top seven listings.
