Hyde Park Lumber and Design Center, a century-old family-owned business in Cincinnati, continues to expand their product selections and services geared to the homeowner or builder. Entering into a freedomRail distributorship offers greater opportunities for customers to experience the convenience and quality of the freedomRail closet and organizational system.

One of the unique properties of the Hyde Park Lumber and Design Center is that their 80,000 square feet showroom and warehouse allows customers the opportunity to see the products, many in actual “mini-room” settings, before they buy.

“We have hundreds of doors, moldings, trims and cabinets on display,” said president Mike Judy, whose great-grandfather started the business in 1902. “We have a selection of products unlike any of the big box stores, so that a customer can actually see and feel the products before they buy. Expanding the freedomRail system allows us to provide a top-quality product to our customers and take advantage of the freedomRail sales three times each year, passing those savings on to our customers.”

Hyde Park Lumber and Design Center Showroom has products for kitchen and bath cabinetry, hardware, sidings, moldings, doors, trim, and of course, a full supply of lumber products. Many times their product’s every-day prices rival the sale prices of their major competitors. With the addition of the “big boxes” into the marketplace, Mike Judy has seen a number of smaller lumber stores close their doors. But Hyde Park Lumber and Design Center has continued to grow, offering clients the shopping convenience and personalized customer service of a family-owned business and the expansive product lines of a chain-store. To many of his customers, it is the best of both worlds.

The unique atmosphere of the Hyde Park Lumber and Design Center Showroom welcomes both men and women, catering to the discriminating homebuyers who are looking for quality products for their home. Large screens have rolling photos of completed projects in each of the mini-showrooms. Their patented Raised Panel system is featured in a library-room setting. Examples of closets, trims, and cabinets and moldings, even a typical “painted lady” style of railing are modeled. Sample kitchens and bath vanities are on display, complete with eye-pleasing accessories and colors. It’s not just an “out of the box” experience.
“This is truly a creative idea showroom where shoppers can spend hours looking at products. We have many people tell us they are amazed at the extensive selection we have to see, feel and touch. They love having the ability to actually see a cabinet or trim in-place, and not have to guess at how it will look when it is installed. Our designers are available to help them customize their kitchen and bath cabinetry,” said Mike Judy.
Now with the expansion of the freedomRail system, customers will have greater choices in this flexible, premium product line. They can create a virtual closet on-line, bring the print-out into Hyde Park Lumber and Design Center, and walk away with a closet that will make any homeowner proud. They can also recommend reputable contractors to help in the installation for those not inclined to be handy around the house.

The Hyde Park Lumber and Design Center is open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. They encourage architects, designers and decorators to bring their clients into the showroom during the selection phase of any project. Appointments with the kitchen designers are appreciated. They are centrally located at 3360 Red Bank Road, near the Lunken Airport, with convenient access from Columbia Parkway or Interstate 71.
