IADT-Tampa Announces New Retail Merchandise Management Degree Programs

Students who are interested in expanding their knowledge of retail merchandise management can take advantage of new program offerings at IADT-Tampa. The school recently added two degree programs to its Tampa curriculum: an Associate of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Retail Merchandise Management.

Classes offer instruction in consumer behavior, visual merchandising, pricing techniques and selling strategies, as well as many of today’s fundamental retailing and merchandising principles.

The new associate’s and bachelor’s Retail Merchandise Management degree programs at IADT-Tampa offer instruction in several areas, including merchandise assessment, vendor selection, customer outreach, and buying.

Both programs give students the opportunity to develop an understanding of merchandising, management, and retail operations. Students also can learn how to analyze products at the retail and wholesale levels, and develop the management and communication skills needed to interact successfully with customers, manufacturers and buyers.

The Associate of Science in Retail Merchandise Management degree program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to become comfortable with buying and selling merchandise across multiple industries. Classes offer instruction in consumer behavior, visual merchandising, pricing techniques and selling strategies, as well as many of today’s fundamental retailing and merchandising principles.

Students who graduate with an AS in Retail Merchandise Management should be prepared to pursue a variety of potential career opportunities in the field.

The Bachelor of Science in Retail Merchandise Management degree program focuses on the management of merchandise from concept to consumer. Whether it’s learning direct sales operations, developing strategies for reaching customers, or organizing merchandise procurement, this program can help students develop real-world knowledge and skills. Classes are taught by instructors with relevant career experience, and instruction is a combination of classroom learning and hands-on application.

Students who graduate with a BS in Retail Merchandise Management should be prepared to pursue a variety of potential career opportunities in the field.
