The Search for ibis Idol Finalizes, Vote Now and Win a Holiday in Samui or Pattaya

Hotel accommodation to be won by members of public who vote by SMS before deadline of 30 July

ibis announced that public voting for the "most popular" ibis idol finalist has begun on 2 July 2009. Although a panel of judges will decide the winner of the search for a brand ambassador for the ibis hotel chain, the "most popular" award is based entirely on public votes.

Members of the public can vote for their "most popular" finalist by voting by SMS before the grand final on 30 July. The "most popular" contestant will win a trip for two to Sydney, Australia while fifty lucky voters will win free hotel accommodation from ibis Thailand.

All voters will be automatically placed into the lucky draw for a chance win one of the 50 stays at ibis Samui or ibis Pattaya. Voters are advised to check out each of the finalists, who have survived from more than 2,300 original competition contestants, at "http://www.ibisidol-thailand.com".

Votes are only accepted via SMS. To have their say, voters should send an SMS beginning with "IB" followed by the code of the chosen candidate (e.g. IB1, IB2, IB3, … until IB12) to 4221441.

The results of the public vote will be announced at the final event, where the overall winner of the competition will be chosen, on 30 July at Central World, Bangkok, from 6pm. The final is open to the public and will tick over in style with live music from Channel [V] featuring B.O.Y, Tol - AF, Tui - AF and Taechin.

The competition's overall winner will get a one month stint as a superstar VJ Rookie on Channel [V], a year of free hotel accommodation, a personal fashion shoot, a dedicated personal portfolio, a holiday in Korea and a monthly salary of 10,000 baht for one year.
