Naturopaths and Healthcare Professionals gather each year around the world to enhance their education so that they can better serve the needs of their patients
Paris, France (PRWEB) October 12, 2012
Paris will host the ICNM Congress in July 2013 with a strong focus on the future of Naturopathic Medicine in the wake of increased consumer demand for access to natural medicine.
The event will attract over 500 Naturopathic Physicians worldwide.
The congress will present a large and mature program with internationally distinguished faculty members, researchers and specialists in line with our commitment to innovation, expertise and excellence. It will offer naturopaths access to advanced academic sessions and workshops including lectures presented by prominent professors from research centers and universities.
The United-States will be the Honoring Country at the ICNM 2013.
“We believe it is a good thing for Naturopaths and Healthcare Professionals from around the world to share ideas and look at the health care challenges from a different perspective. We are excited to propose an outstanding program that will play a pivotal role in helping to shape the future of the naturopathic profession.” says Anne Marie Narboni, Executive Congress Chair, ICNM 2013.
About Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic Medicine is based on the belief that the human body has an innate healing ability. Naturopaths’ teach their patients to use diet, exercise, lifestyle changes and cutting edge natural therapies to enhance their bodies’ ability to ward off and combat disease. They view the patient as a complex, interrelated system (a whole person), not as a clogged artery or a tumor. Naturopaths’ craft comprehensive treatment plans that blend the best of modern medical science and traditional natural medical approaches to not only treat disease, but to also restore health.
Naturopathic Principles: Naturopathic Physicians practice the six fundamental principles of Naturopathic Medicine:
1-The healing power of nature: Trust in the body’s inherent wisdom to heal itself.
2-Identify and treat the causes: Look beyond the symptoms to the underlying cause.
3-First do no harm: Utilize the most natural, least invasive and least toxic therapies.
4-Naturopaths as teacher: Educate patients in the steps to achieving and maintaining health.
5-Treat the whole person: View the body as an integrated whole in all its physical and spiritual dimensions.
6-Prevention: Focus on overall health, wellness and disease prevention.
Naturopaths’ strive to make naturopathic medicine available to everyone, and to increase recognition of Naturopaths as the identified authorities on natural medicine. Read more at http://www.icnmcongress.com
