It’s about connecting people and building relationships
Tacoma, WA (PRWEB) February 05, 2013
The founders of Ignite-U, Kieran and Sherri Murry, have officially announced a new website and online hub for Ignite-U IgniteU365.com™ is already becoming a hub where business owners in Pierce County can connect with the community and offer special deals in a local directory. Unlike “Deal of the Day” advertising by companies such as Groupon or Living Social, IgniteU365™ will not take a percentage of the sales transaction.
Ignite-U started in 2011 and now its third year and continues to grow in popularity. Not wanting to limit the connection opportunities to only the events, Ignite-U has evolved to IgniteU365.com™ and provides information about events throughout the Pacific NW community, articles, classifieds, business listings and reviews.
Helping businesses stay “community connected’ includes special fundraisers every month where 100% of the proceeds are donated to a local organization. The most recent fundraiser events In December and January included the Forgotten Children’s Fund and the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce.
The new website offers Kieran and Sherri Murry a bigger platform to pursue their vision: “Create something where fellow Pierce County residents could be inspired to make improvements, whether it is for their business, family or community”. The Murry’s will continue to create a series of annual events that combine motivational speakers and networking opportunities. “Each event has its own special flair”, says Murry, always wanting to give attendees a fresh feel with each event.
At each step the new online directory IgniteU365.com™ is being integrated with social media and Facebook. “It’s about connecting people and building relationships” has been Mr. Murry’s mantra for a decade as he has taught thousands the value of building business and relationships with Facebook. He believes that the new IgniteU365™ website will not replace Facebook but instead expand the opportunities for people to exchange value, pursue their special interests and provide businesses a place online for reviews and sharing to happen easily.
What has not gone unnoticed by the team at Ignite-U is the focus on local directories for search engines. In October 2012 ad network Chitika released new data which said that 43 percent of the overall query volume coming from Google (mobile and PC) carried a local intent. This is more than double the report two years ago by Google. Since that time Google has put considerable effort into its local and map results, both online and in mobile. In 2011 Google said that 40 percent of mobile search traffic is local. And last week a Google representative at an event informally said that now 50 percent of mobile search carries a local intent.
IgniteU365.com™ is poised to take full advantage of both local search and social media integration so that local businesses can take advantage of the trends with technology and marketing online with a very simple to use online directory, content rich, reviews, and classifieds. The listings, reviews and articles are carefully monitored to ensure there is integrity and authenticity.
The website is free to join for visitors who want to make comments and interact. For business owners and entrepreneurs interested in becoming a sponsor, there are three basic levels: Spark, Fire & Inferno. Sponsors have a very long list of benefits which include free events, training, advertising and special promotions.
Ignite-U is an event series that started in 2011 and located in Pierce County, WA. The event series features top notch speakers with topics ranging from motivation, inspiration, leadership and character development to technology and how-to’s in business.
IgniteU365.com™ is the next generation of Ignite-U which connects communities, people and businesses with business listings, fresh valuable content, deals, reviews, classifieds and local events are available are accessible free of charge.
