The final configuration and vehicle systems integration functionality testing has been completed as the Aeroscraft sub-scale demonstration vehicle reaches the finish line.
Aeroscraft proof-of-design prototype is the world's first rigid variable buoyancy air vehicle. It was developed by Aeros for over sized and heavy cargo/freight transportation from point of origin to point of need.
The air vehicle is capable of controlling lift in each stage of flight, from take-off to landing. Unlike airships or hybrid airships, the Aeroscraft unloads on-board cargo without re-ballasting or ground infrastructure; and unlike cargo airplanes, it does not need airports for takeoff and landing, or ground equipment for loading and unloading freight.
